Sunt o Femeie de Foc, Dar Tu?

I'm a Fiery Woman, What About You?

I thought that my personality traits – the inability to tolerate raised voices or conflicting tones, the obsession with respect that amuses those around me, the immediate tension in my neck and shoulders when I'm stressed, the intolerance of nervous people – were just personal idiosyncrasies formed by my life's experiences and lessons.

In all religions and teachings, the universal system is composed of four main elements. In Islam, they are called “anasır-ı erbaa” and can be seen as the four faces of God. The universe is made up of water, earth, fire and air. The human body is also made up of these four elements, but the predominance of each differs from person to person. Over the centuries, the qualities of the elements – heat, cold, dryness and moisture – have been used for both therapeutic and preventive purposes. Fire corresponds to heat, air to moisture, water to cold, and earth to dryness. The four humors – blood, yellow bile, phlegm and melancholy – must be balanced for health. The mixture of these humors forms the human temperament: sanguine, choleric, phlegmatic and melancholic.

In Christianity, these elements are symbolized by the Celtic cross; in Judaism, by the Star of David. God created man as a mixture of these four elements.

In Hindu, Japanese and Chinese mythologies, there is a belief in a fifth element. In Ayurvedic medicine, people have three temperament types: Vata (air), Pitta (fire), Kapha (water). In Japan, the fifth element is "Quintessence" (soul), and in China, the elements are air, fire, water, wood and metal.

Until I read the book "Şifa Sende" by Dr. Erhan Özer, I thought I was simply a fiery person. I realized that my reactions and repetitive suffering have a deeper explanation.

Water Type: The main reason for fear is the truth. They are extremely orderly, punctual and disciplined people. They respect laws, rules and are rigorous in their clothing. In situations of emotional stress, they suffer especially in the lower part of the body: back, legs, kidneys, bladder, prostate. They have a tendency towards anxiety and panic.

Fire Type: The main fear is not being restrained. They are sensitive to anger and attach great importance to respect. They choose everything carefully and want to be noticed and respected. In stressful situations, the upper part of the body – neck, shoulders, head – is affected. Problems with the liver and gall bladder may occur. They are prone to manic or melancholic depression.

Earth Type: The main fear is failure and the future. It manifests itself in excessive affection for others and the desire to be liked. Organs most affected: spleen and pancreas. They tend to be dependent on the approval of others, retain water, and have a slow metabolism. They may have hidden depression.

Air Type: The main fear is loneliness. The dominant emotion is sadness. They are selective in social relationships, attached to family and close friends. In the face of emotional conflicts, they withdraw into themselves. They are sensitive to respiratory problems and can develop endogenous depression.

I have not found any other element in me but fire; but you may be a combination of two elements. What type are you?
